Description

  • Are you a whoop racer looking for the sharpest performance without compromising reliability?
  • Or perhaps a freestyle pilot that wants a robust frame with quick maintenance?
  • Maybe you simply want a stronger alternative to those flimsy nylon frames to keep you longer in the air?

If you answer yes to any of those, then the Fractal 75 was designed for you!

— A little backstory —

I’ve been thinking a while about whether to change that first paragraph or not, but there is no better way to put it.

If you’ve owned, tried, or even just heard of my 65mm racing whoop frame, the Fractal 65, I could simply tell you the 75 embodies the essence of it, scaled up to 40mm props

And that would be absolutely true…

But there is also a little more to it 🙂

This frame has been in fact 10 months in the making.

So much for just making the thing a little larger, you would think

But well, not quite.

One of the main requirements for that frame was a lightweight, and this has proven challenging to achieve at an enlarged scale without compromising the other main requirement, rigidity.

It took several iterations, in design, material, or supplier to find the perfect balance that would meet my expectations.

But thanks to the help and testing of my awesome team pilots, lots of crashing and breaking, it is finally at a point where I’m satisfied with it and happy to offer it out to you!

I hope you enjoy the extra thrust and stability over the 65mm, the extra prop area makes it much more versatile;

you could build it into a lightweight absolute rocket on 300mah 25k 0802, a long-range ELRS F4, or even a vacation video rig carrying a peanut/insta 360 go!

Or even go crazy and make it a pusher, or even use no ducts at all!

The choice is yours, and I’m supporting your experimentation by regularly uploading 3D models on the downloads section for you to print at home 🙂

For the BNF however, I will build you the classic factory setup, bringing together the most balanced building decision for speed, durability, weight and fun!

— A quick note on bottom plate options —

All frame kits come with a 1.5mm bottom plate; it has been found to be the best weight/durability balance on 1S

If you’re a hard basher, want more rigidity for a 2S build or if you simply like more gravity to your builds, I’ve also cut 2mm bottom plates.

There are designed with thinner braces to make the most out of the thicker material but remain about 0.5g heavier

This makes it an extremely stiff and nearly indestructible platform; allowing for very tight tuning.

Please chose which variant you’d like your BNF assembled with 🙂

— So what about that frame? —

Remaining true to its original intent, the Fractal 75 features:

  • 75mm diagonal, squished X geometry, for 40mm props
  • 1.5mm Carbon Fiber / Individual Nylon ducts hybrid construction. Cut from Japanese Toray T300 CF sheet
  • Low-profile camera mount, no props in view, no tilt offset
  • Low Center of Gravity, by bringing the AIO closer to the frame/motors
  • Allows mounting with USB pointing up for easy accelerometer calibration
  • No need for a canopy as all electronics are tucked safely between the ducts
  • Maximum rigidity where it matters most; connecting the motors to the FC
  • Easy maintenance, break one duct, replace only the single duct
  • Lightweight, about 21g with HM DiamondF4

As always, this is a project that I designed for myself first, that I put together in a product to share with any pilot that would like to experience the same level of requirements!

Designed with love, by a pilot, for pilots.

But don’t take my word for it, here’s what Team Pilot Glenn “Bellaciao” has to say about it:

“Tank like. Can slam it into the ground and it’s fine. Haven’t had any delamination or build quality issues. There’s plenty of room to add a vtx and rx, the ducts protects the parts from impact, and with 2s it truly feels like a larger quad. Facepunches will hurt.”

Or a few notes from Sushan “Brdsrtrl”

“Very stable and predictable, Makes an easy platform to make a super reliable quad, a million different configurations, Makes it easy to tuck away external parts if you aren’t using an aio.”

— What do you get? —

As a BNF, I will assemble a fully flight-ready craft that you can take out and fly right out the box

You have several build options to chose from;

Analog: Runcam Nano 3 camera, AIO Flight controller of choice;

  1. Diamond F4 for super lightweight (~22g AUW excl. battery)
  2. ELRS F4 for the most range (~23g AUW excl. battery)
  3. X12 for the strongest durability on top (~24g AUW excl. battery)
  4. NeutronRC F411 + TBS Nano Pro32 for absolute most signal penetration, and a serviceable build

HDZero: NeutronRC F411 Flight controller, HDZero Whoop Lite VTX and Runcam Nano Lite camera (~27g AUW excl. battery)

And EX0802 motors of your choice. JST-PH pigtail by default, BT2.0 optional

A quick note on motor gearing, 19000kv will be best suited for long flight time and efficiency – still does pack quite a punch, as you can witness from the video above with this build. Should be able to do well into the 4-5mins on a 300-450mah

22k will grant you significantly more power while remaining fairly balanced, and well 25k is just ludicrously fast. It will pump the juice out of your lipos but those 3mins of flight time will give you a hell of a kick. You may still use a throttle cap to make it more controllable in tight environments 🙂

You can also chose our EX0802 25000kv Wonky Nips motors, with super strong 1.5mm motor shafts. Note: we’ll make your build with teal TPU to match the props and motor accents!

It will be tuned to the latest, bleeding-edge firmware, including a Quicksilver tune, as well as BlueJay ESC firmware – With ELRS 3.0 baked in for onboard SPI erceivers

I sometimes help out assembling pre-builts with Armattan, so if you’ve ever seen the standard to which these are built, or seen my soldering jobs before you know it will be top-notch.

Please note that each build is custom-built to order and goes through extensive tuning, testing and preparation before leaving the shop to make sure you get the best possible experience unboxing, plugging in and simply go fly.

And while I try my best to keep the batch sizes manageable on both my end and yours, it can get pretty busy on the bench at times.

I try to process every build within the week, but please allow for up to 2 weeks to account for occasional high demand

    My first drone

Yup, this is my first drone. I looked at the Mobula 7 and other 75mm whoops and heard reviews this was durable. Additionally, others said they really enjoyed this drone. I picked this up so I could grow into it. I got this with the HDzero Whoop lite , BT Plug, and 25500 kv motors. This thing PUNCHES. Very responsive. As my first drone, I have replaced the props and learned a lot on the Quicksilver software.

I do fly this in my place, It is a little tight but doable. It shines in small playgrounds. I might even pick up the 65 mm version for even better flights in the house. I love this drone. Ill recommend this to anyone really beginners and pros.

So Much Better Than a Traditional Whoop

I have the HDZero BNF version with the CrossF4 ELRS and 25500kv motors. I can feel the weight of HDZ, but it will still smoothly catch itself from powerloops, Matty’s, Split -S, and dive maneuvers as long as you are not waiting until the very last second to apply throttle. I have been able to use BetaFPV 450 & 550mAh batteries as well as GNB 530’s with the A30 connector. Flight time for me is usually between 4 to 5 minutes. I think my favorite part of flying this quad is how well it corners. It is just so sharp and precise, which makes flying inside so much more fun. I did have one issue… After the 2nd or 3rd pack, my VTX developed the dreaded HDZ sparkle problem and I was not able to resolve it until I replaced the VTX with another one. Such is life in this hobby. I will probably buy or build another Fractal quad because they just fly so good.

Hey Paul thank you for your kind words, glad to hear you’re happy with the build! And while your VTX failure might not be a DOA, only lasting a couple lipos doesn’t sound normal either. Watch your inbox I’ll be reaching out shortly to see if we can get you sorted out. Cheers! __Yves

Worth every penny and I’m not usually a BNF guy

Incredible little drone. I ended up buying the analog version. It came ready to rip and immediately bound to my ELRS TX because my binding phrase was pre loaded by Yves!

I was up and flying in literally 10 min. This is on average about 9 hours and 50 minutes faster than any drone I’ve built myself because I suck.

Sometimes it’s nice to just get something that is meticulously built and ready to rock

My only problem now os debating whether to convert this to HDzero on my own or paying fractal to make me another one.

Get one you won’t regret it!

2nd Fractal 75 HDZero from the amazing Fractal Engineering crew, and Wow – it’s better than the 1st!
This build has the CrossF4 flight controller, UART based ELRS, pluggable motors (vs. soldered), and even blackbox!
It flies just as awesome as the 1st one and now it’s just a better quad overall.
Here’s a short highlight reel of a backyard rip with this new version. https://youtu.be/IvLHJYQLP-I
Overall you need Fractal quads in your life! Great product and great experience from a great company!

Ready to rock out of the box

This is pretty much the perfect UWL whoop bnf. UWL requires 40-45g AUW 19000kv motors, etc. As received this was 40g AUW on the nose with my 450mAh battery.

I’ve built a 65 and a 75 prior, so I knew about the quality of the frame kits. This time wanted the one prebuilt with HDZ since it was available. It’s so nice to get one that’s ready to whoop on arrival.

It even came with my ELRS bind phrase set up. Love it.

Revolutionary TinyWhoop - The Best Tinywhoop Experience on the market

where to start – great design, great company and great product leader who is actively participating and sharing with the community.
I now have both the Fractal75 and Fractal65 in HDzero, and they are absolutely my favorite tinywhoops. I can’t fly them enough.
I had some issues initially due to lack of familiarity with Quicksilver and Yves got on discord video chat and educated me directly – wow! Great Customer Experience over all and I can’t recommend a product and company higher.
Get 2 of these like right now! 🙂 I already recommend to friends and family – NPS of 10.

    HDZERO

Absolutely amazing bnf, hand tested by the man himself to insure there are no issues. That alone made the purchase a no brainer. Flies amazing on 22,000kv but if you’re looking for a tad more flight times go with 19,000. I average around 2:45 at racing pace. I also tossed a canopy on mine, I’m definitely in the minority but I like to see a little duct in view.

    F75 with HDZ

I got my F75 with HDZ and 802 25000kv motors and it‘s awesome.
Using it for IGOW and I think might just be the optimal size for a whoop that you can fly indoor and outdoor that can do acro.
Bulild quality is excellent – just go watch Yves build and do the QC on the Fractal Youtube channel – you get a master built whoop that is checked and tested.

This is what whooping is all about!

I am absolutely loving my fractal 75’s!
They’re so locked and controllable and just feel good to fly. Whoops have got to be the most fun in FPV, and the best way to improve your skills!
They’ve also been taking beatings that would have shattered lesser rigs =p
    Beautiful builds by Fractal Engineering.

I can rip inside and outside and it’s sooooo much fun.

I have different micros but only with the fractal, I feel so confident.

I’ve read accounts of Carbon-Frames not being that great on Whoops. But God knows on what overall configuration those People reached their judgement.
So, i’ve decided to get the whole ‘Carbon-Package’ as it’s supposed to be, instead of tinkering around. I’m just flying for fun. No racing / competetive anything. And i don’t have a huge stock of Parts to try the best combination.

My Hopes where surpassed, i *really* like it!
I don’t know if it’s the Frame, the Firmware, the Prop/Motor combination. And honestly, i don’t care anymore. Because this is it.
After trying this i ordered two more Frames from a local dealer. If anything brakes on another Whoop the replacement will be the closest to the Fractal BNF.

    The stock Fractal BNF (25kKv, 2Blade, 450mAh) flies lightyears better than a stock Mobula7 (0802 20kKv Bf4.3).
It’s much more locked in, i suspect due to the stiffer Frame(?) Higher Kv (on 2Blade Prop) makes catching the Whoop easier while doing Acro. Flight time is ~4mins (450mAh).

As far as the assembly goes: wish i could solder like that. Motor Wires are cut to perfect size. Overall it’s a work of Art, you can tell it’s made with Love.
I can’t say anything about the durability of the Frame. Since there is a 2mm Version i guess it’s not unbreakable, but i don’t know anyone who has broken one. Until now (1 Month) i just broke two Rings, burned one of the Motor coils, and ripped the Battery holder. The Battery holder in the front is the sole thing i think could be improved.
Instead of replacing it with the spare that came with the Package i just added a Rubber Band.
Everything is preconfigured and tested. Just add your Rates, there is nothing else you have to change to improve it. A true BNF.

I’ve become kind of a Fractal Zealot, but at the last Whoop flying Session in Hamburg (Attraktor) everybody already flew a Fractal Frame!

    Best whoop I ever flown!!!

Wauw!!! What a Awesome whoop this is!!! It’s flying way better than all whoops I flew before it! I flew the mobula7 1s a lot and I fly mostly outside but the fractal 75 is flying so much better!!! Really happy with my purchase!!! I got the one with the x12 elrs aio and 25000kv motors. If your searching for the best flying whoop there is this is the one. Thanks Heads and Yves!!!

    Beginner Pilot and First Whoop

WTF?! Its so fun! Found this whoop via Heads from Infinity Loops’ Mobthicc v3 video and bought the bnf elrs version. I am brand new to this hobby so I’m not sure how this compares to anything else as far as characteristics. What I really love is that it just works right out of the box. I crash almost every single time I takeoff (and hard too) but this whoop is super durable as nothing has broke yet besides props. I will definitely be getting at least a second one.

    Wow!

My first whoop purchased since 2019. To say that the performance has improved would be a great understatement. This thing is stable, tight and nimble all at once. I actually had to turn down the rates to what I generally use for freestyle, and now I’ve got great control. I’ve had it for about a month, fly it daily and haven’t broken anything other than props. The only issue is it occasionally looses RC (frsky)signal, but it flies so well I have to forgive it’s shortcomings. I’m definitely getting another next whoop season. Thanks again for offering these!

My fav 75mm whoop for indoor and outdoor

Love this 75mm whoop, very well tune, replaceable duct and I have a lot of spares to swap around. Bi blades props doesn’t seem to produce loud noise when you fly around indoor, factory or park area. The micro USB port of the flight controller board are rather facing upwards, brilliant idea most of the time whenever I crash a whoop this microusb connector is the first to go or damage. Lightweight tpu printed camera holder and holds the battery well. I took infinity loop YouTube’s advice in addition to that I use rubber band to tighten the battery as well.

I bought the frsky version from Ives love to purchase the elrs version. Fellow FPV pilot what are you waiting for ? Get one yourself you won’t regret!

    Just Get One

I love tiny whoops, but none have compared to the Fractal 75. Without a doubt it outperforms it’s smaller counterpart in every way. I haven’t tried the Fractal 65 with any other motors then the Happymodel 19000kv, and it was a blast. But the poor little fella has been basically parked since this 75 showed up other then when the wind has been unbearable for even larger drones.
I’m not a pro, nor have I flown everything on the market, but I can promise you this 75 whoop rips. In my area there’s a slight wind 85% if the time. Enough to make a 65mm whoop have problems. With this 75mm frame and the 20000kv motors, it’s powers through almost everything. Inside it’s just as capable as the 65 but maybe a bit too powerful for begging in the hobby. I’ve put at least 75 batteries through it already and NO issues. I’ve had to change props every few days but nothing else has broken and it’s been wrecked, hard, repeatedly. I don’t know what could outdo this one. Maybe Yves has something else up his sleeve’s.
All said I’m more than a leased with the Fractal 75 and the 65 too. I hardly fly any of my other drones anymore. They are quite enough to not bother too many people and more often then not attract curious spectators at the park.
I hope you get to enjoy this whoop as much as I have. Thanks again for another awesome sky machine Yves. 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
