Introducing out first Monthly Specials BNF!
- Have you ever considered getting a BNF but couldn't quite decide which setup to chose?
- Or perhaps have you fancied getting one but was hoping for a better deal?
- Maybe you've been waiting for a more specific and unique build that is not part of the factory builds?
- Or do you just hate building but will happily fly anything we do for the attention to detail and love we put in each build?
— Well boi oh boi do we have something for you!
— A little backstory —
I know I don’t have the most affordable gear.
We really do put a lot of effort, my wife and I into each kit, each build and each order to make sure you get the best experience when placing an order from us – or our dealers –
I also know that I do not do a lot of sales/promotion.
Mostly because we would never discount our attention into our products, but also because I haven’t been the best at planning such things.
Lastly, I know that times are rough for a lot of folks and that FPV can sometimes be the last line to keep ourselves together.
And for all these reasons I’ve decided to take a good look at how I could make you a special offer to sweeten the deal, while also providing unique value, without compromising our business line too much.
What came out of it is this here program I’ve called the Monthly Specials!
The premises are super simple; every month we will come up with a unique, specially put-together build, that is not part of the standard catalog, will only be available for the entire month, and will -likely- never come back.
Although we are not really at a point where economies of scale are a thing, I am betting on simplifying the build type for a month making them a lot easier to assemble by the end of it, thus passing down those savings to you 🙂
And in the meantime that gives us an opportunity to get creative with seasonal builds that don’t need to be implemented in the permanent catalog.
What will we do next? Pusher builds? UWL-ready rigs with LEDs and all? Signature builds curated by your favorite pilots? Something even more wonky? 👀

— So what’s this month’s special all about? —
If you’ve followed my recent posts in the Fractal Labs FB group, you might have got the hint that I figured out a way to build the factory kit into a pusher, by means of cleverly wrapping the cam strap around to achieve a negative tilt angle – making it a positive angle for a pusher!
So that’s what we went for!
In addition to that I wasn’t happy with how the props would touch the ground, making it hard to take-off, so I’ve also designed little 3D printed duct tips that can be retrofitted onto the HM Mob7V4 frame – And of course the files is available for free in the downloads section
The result is an incredibly lightweight and robust whoop that takes all the benefits of the standard build, but adds on a very unique flight characteristic with surprisingly improved thrust and efficiency!
Definitely a must-try, whether be it with this BNF or with your next kit.
Onto the components choice:
Frame: Fractal 75, 1.5mm for lightweight
FC: HM ELRS F4 2G4; Probably my all-time favorite AIO; much improved range over a diamond, lighter than a X12, and much better value than both. If you’ve been sleeping on it, now’s your chance to give it a go!
Motors: Fractal Edition EX0802 22,500KV; I first thought of moving up to the 25.5k this month, but wanted to try if the reduced prop obstruction would help…it appears to. big time. So we’re keeping the 22.5k for the improved throttle resolution, flight time and less strain on the 5A ESCs. Trust me this is de wey.
Camera: Runcam Nano3; You know that one, I’ve been using it for years, I just love how much image you get for the weight.
Overall the weight comes in just over 23.5g, not heavier than a standard build, but with much improved thrust; you’ll love it I’m sure.
Of course it will be tuned to the latest, bleeding-edge firmware, including a Quicksilver tune, as well as BlueJay ESC firmware – With ELRS 3.0 baked in the onboard SPI receiver
Please note that each whoop remains custom-built to order and goes through extensive tuning, testing and preparation before leaving the shop to make sure you get the best possible experience unboxing, plugging in and simply go fly.
Therefore they might still take a couple days to complete and ship, and we’ll try our best to keep it well below a week
